 Ruthie and the Wranglers

Ruthie and the Wranglers
Ruthie and the Wranglers play rockin’ American Roots music (also known as FUN!). Praised for their original upbeat songs, their albums have ranked in the Top 20 to Top 50 on the Americana, Roots, and Roots Country radio charts. Their most recent release Someday was named Album of the Year by the Washington Area Music Association (WAMA).

The band continues their clever songwriting skills, penned by Billboard Magazine as "...nothing short of brilliant," as they gear up for their 5th release.

Attending Bluegrass festivals, private guitar lessons and watching Country TV stars like Johnny Cash and Loretta Lynn, combined with her rock ‘n’ roll and punk-influenced college days, is what inspired Logsdon to create the beginning of Ruthie and the Wranglers. Add Ruthie’s favorite musicians and you get diverse talent and unstoppable energy.

Ruth Logsdon, lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist and songwriter, and the band have racked up more than 25 WAMMIES including 2005 Best Country Vocalist and 2000 Songwriter of the Year.

Greg Hardin brings his lead vocals, backing harmonies and bull’s eye bass guitar beat to the band’s primo show. Aside from his own striking compositions, Greg and Ruthie have teamed up to write some of their most engaging songs to date. Greg is a musician with a passion for creating timeless lyrics with true musical spirit.

Lead guitarist and award winning multi-instrumentalist, Phil Mathieu; pianist/vocalist, Bill Starks and drummer, Robbie Magruder (Mary Chapin Carpenter/Lowen and Navarro); set the standard for quality musicianship and high powered “rock-ability.”

"Someday is clearly the product of many days well spent writing and recording songs – songs vibrant or clever enough to make most of what passes for country music these days sound dead on arrival."

I'm So Sad Since You Left Me
We fought like the devil when we were married
Every way you treated me was wrong
I'm so blue now that our love's been buried
Cause I wonder why we waited so long

I'm so sad since you left me
I frown from ear to ear
I'm so sad since you left me
It's almost like you're still here

I gave you the best years of my life dear
and I feel bad it was our love that fell apart
but I realized in my darkest moment
It was doomed from the start

I'm so sad since you left me
I frown from ear to ear
I'm so sad since you left me
It's almost like you're still here

I have hope that there will be another
a lover who will be there 'til the end
but then the lovin' stops and the fightin' starts and I think
Oh brother here we go again

I'm so sad since you left me
I frown from ear to ear
I'm so sad since you left me
It's almost like you're still here

repeat chorus

you're still here
you're still here
you're still here

I Don't Wanna Know

Don’t do me any favors by coming up to me
and saying what you over heard, please just let me be
You’ll be my friend for telling me exactly what you saw
and expect me to appreciate conclusions that you draw
Heaven knows I try to see whats right before my eyes
but deep inside, the bottom LINE ...is...
I don’t want to know. I don’t want to know.
I don’t want to know, Don’t want to know.

You layed it on the table but I still have my pride
so don’t take it too personal if I don’t see your side
Eyes play tricks on all of us, you may think I’m a fool
well, mirrors never lie but they can tell a backwards truth.
Did you ever stop and think what if you kept it to yourself
well, maybe it’d be best to TRY...cause...
I don’t want to know. I don’t want to know.
I don’t want to know, Don’t want to know.

Bridge:
So please don’t tell me, no, please don’t say, please don’t make it
hard on me that way

I don’t want to know. I don’t want to know. I don’t want to know, Don’t
want to know.

You think that I don’t get it, how I could be so blind
It’s just that when I think too much I start to lose my mind
You think I need to hear it, oh, you think I need advice
I somehow missed the picture, baby don’t think twice
It’s clear to me that certains things are better left unsaid
Just lay it down, let it BE YEAH
I don’t want to know. I don’t want to know.
I don’t want to know, don’t want to know.

Don’t wanna, don’t wanna, don’t wanna know
Don’t wanna, don’t wanna, don’t wanna know
Don’t wanna, don’t wanna, don’t wanna know
Don't wanna, don't wanna, don't wanna know...
I don’t want to know. I don’t want to know.
I don’t want to know...I don’t want to know.
